by: Clinton Maxwel
There are many opportunities for Torrevieja sightseeing. In addition to
enjoying the sun and a little golf, there is plenty to do here. There are
museums, nature attractions and a variety of festivals all year long.
This city holds festivals in every season. No matter when you visit, you
will find something to enjoy.
Torrevieja is located about thirty kilometres south east of Alicante. It is
on the southern tip of the Costa Blanca. The city was originally a salt
mining and fishing village. Now it is also a popular tourist attraction.
There are many people from Britain, Germany and Scandinavia
buying second homes in this area.
One reason for the popularity is the beautiful weather all year long.
While summer is the most popular time for tourists, the weather is
beautiful all year long. You can enjoy the outdoors or golf vacations in
any season. The city is located between the sea and two salt lakes.
The salt baths are warm enough to be enjoyed during much of the
year.
Museums for Torrevieja Sightseeing
The Museum of Sea and Salt shows the roots of Torrevieja and the
importance of the salt industry. Here you will see a variety of crafts
made with salt. There are model boats and a model of a Torrevieja
sailing ship. You can tour the inside and outside of a submarine as
well. There are a variety of photographs and archaeological finds on

heritage of passion processions in the city. You will see statues,
sculptures, paintings and embroidery around this theme. The
museum was named for a local artist.
The Ricardo Lafuente Museum is a Habaneras museum. It is named
after a prolific writer of Habaneras music. He is also the writer of the
Torrevieja anthem. You will see hundreds of compositions in the
museum. In addition, the museum is home to a variety of
photographs, recordings and other objects about both this artist and
the history of Habaneras music.
The Nature Park of the Lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja is not a
museum, but is a popular attraction. The area is made up of
