The Aerial Tram, Gadzoom, Wilbere, Little Cloud
and Mineral Basin Express are running!
Only 29 miles from Salt Lake City, Snowbird is home
to the rugged beauty and spectacular scenery of Little
Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch-Cache National
Forest and Uinta National Forest. The area is
especially beautiful now with deep white powder
blanketing the Snowbird Ski Resort. Snowbird is the
closest of Utah’s mountain resorts to the airport and
also has the fastest lift in North America – the Tram,
according to The Wall Street Journal. Whether you live
in New York or California or somewhere in between,
getting to Salt Lake City and Snowbird is an easy flight
that means three days off work equals three full days
on the slopes.
Snowbird averages approximately 500 inches of low-
density, "dry" Utah powder annually. Thanks to ideal
geography and a phenomenon called Lake Effect, Little
Cottonwood Canyon powder is known worldwide. The
top of the resort is 11,000-foot Hidden Peak, lowest
point on the mountain is bottom of Baby Thunder
chairlift at 7,760 feet. Thanks to a spring computer
upgrade, the 125-person Tram covers 2,900 vertical
feet in approximately seven minutes.

Lodge at Snowbird, The Inn and Iron Blosam – offer
rooms by the night, week or longer as well as timeshare
