ages. Covering over 200 acres, the adventure park offers world-class
shows, thrilling rides and hands-on animal encounters. If time is limited,
the following attractions are the ones that you don't want to miss.
RIDES AT SEAWORLD SAN DIEGO
Part water-ride, part roller coaster, the Journey to Atlantis ride
combines the excitement of both into this one-of-a-kind water-coaster.
The ride includes two of the steepest, wettest, fastest drops to be found
in any theme park. Height requirement is 42".
WILD ARCTIC:
Guests have a choice of two ways to visit the Polar Exhibit, they can
walk through, or they can enter by way of the Wild Arctic ride, a
simulated motion-based flight over the frozen Arctic. Though tame-
looking in appearance, this ride is not for guests who experience
motion-sickness. Height requirement is 42".
R.L. STINE'S HAUNTED LIGHTHOUSE 4-D
A spine-tingling new movie experience awaits you with the debut of R.L.
Stine's Haunted Lighthouse 4-D. Spun from an old fisherman's tale,
mischievous children take you on a stormy adventure and dare you to
discover the ghostly truth behind the legend of a haunted lighthouse. The
movie's 4-D effects will surely keep you on the edge of your seat - just don't
get caught between what's real and what's not.
SKYTOWER
A San Diego landmark for more than 25 years, this 320-foot Southwest
Airlines Skytower gives guests a panoramic view of San Diego.
ANIMAL EXHIBITS
PENGUIN ENCOUNTER

more than 200 playful penguins. Children love this exhibit, so don't
miss it. The exhibit holds four species of penguins and is kept at a
freezing 30 degrees. Six thousand pounds of snow falls daily inside the
simulated penguin habitat. On your way out, be sure to visit the puffins.
WILD ARCTIC EXHIBIT
Don’t miss the Wild Arctic where you’ll be transported into a simulated
twilight zone of the Arctic circle. Children will enjoy watching the baby-
faced beluga whales toss balls around, but don’t forget to visit the
enormous walrus on the lower level. He loves interacting with visitors.
SHARK ENCOUNTER
Come face-to-face with sharks of all shapes and sizes at the Shark
Encounter. This 280,000-gallon attraction features a 57-foot, walk-through
acrylic tube running the length of the sharks' habitat. As you travel through
the sharks' amazing world, you can view hundreds of fascinating sand
tiger, bonnethead, blacktip and whitetip sharks.
FORBIDDEN REEF

take an up-close look at hundreds of these exotic creatures in their
mysterious world of underwater caverns.
ROCKY POINT PRESERVE

about bottlenose dolphins and California sea otters. Guests can enjoy
feeding the fun-loving dolphins at specified times each day and visit an
underwater viewing area for an exciting look at the dolphins surfing and
frolicking, while curious and furry sea otters dive for crabs and sea urchins
nearby. Surrounding the animal habitat are several interactive elements
that are designed to educate kids and grown-ups alike about these
magnificent animals.
