SAN DIEGO ZOO
Known as one of the best zoos in the world, the San
Diego Zoo is home to over 4,000 rare and endangered

SAN DIEGO ZOO'S WILD ANIMAL PARK
What makes the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park so
unique are the large field exhibits which enable the
animals to roam freely. The Wgasa Bush Line Railway, a
60-minute electric monorail ride, allows visitors to
observe the animals in their natural habitat.

Herds of elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and antelope are
among the hundreds of animals you can see roaming the
scenic rolling landscape of East and North Africa, the
Asian Plains, a Eurasian Waterhole, South Africa, and

SEAWORLD SAN DIEGO
SeaWorld San Diego is a great theme park for adults
and children of all ages. Covering over 200 acres, the

BALBOA PARK
Balboa Park offers a wide range of activities for children
of all ages. Younger children will enjoy the Butterfly Ride,
Carousel, Balboa Park Miniature Railroad and the Marie
Hitchcock Puppet Theater. Older children with find plenty
of interesting exhibits featuring cars, trains, planes,
dinosaurs, planets and sports at one of the park's
numerous museums.

The most kid-friendly museums include the Reuben H.
Fleet Science Center, San Diego Natural History
Museum, San Diego Aerospace Museum, San Diego
Automotive Museum, San Diego Hall of Champions, and
the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Many museums
offer free admission on Tuesdays. The schedule is
rotated between the museums throughout the month, so
call before you go.

BALBOA PARK PLAY AREAS
There's plenty of space for kids to play and families to
picnic in Balboa Park. Located west of Park Blvd., the
Pepper Grove playground and picnic area is a family
favorite with swings, tables, playground equipment,
nearby restrooms and a tiny tots play area. Another
popular children’s play area is found at Thorn and Sixth
Avenue on the west side of the Park.

BALBOA PARK TRANSPORTATION
There's a free tram which provides access to Balboa
Park’s museums and attractions. Families can park in the
spacious Inspiration Point lot and wait at Tram Central, a
shady arbor with benches.

LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA
Children of all ages will love Legoland. For toddlers,
there's  an enchanting boat ride through Fairy Tail
Brook, an interactive playtown, Waterworks with musical
