OVERVIEW OF RCCL CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
Every year, more and more families are sailing with Royal
Caribbean Cruise Lines. One of the biggest reasons is the
Adventure Ocean® Youth Program. The idea behind this
award-winning program is to teach kids about new, interesting
things, like the ports they visit, the science of sailing, even exciting
new sports like gagaball. But most of all, it's about having fun.
After all, it's their vacation too.
Fun isn't just for adults at Royal Caribbean. Kids from 3-17 are
invited to take part in the complimentary Adventure Ocean® Youth
Programs. Adventure Ocean was specially designed to blend
educational activities with just plain fun. Every cruise is different.
But one thing never changes: your child will get to learn about
local customs, do cool science experiments, and make great
new friends. To participate, children must be three years of age
and potty-trained (diaper and pull-up free). And you can feel
confident leaving your children at Adventure Ocean because every
member of the staff holds a college degree in education or other
related field, or has qualified experience in working with children
Royal Caribbean offers the same basic activities for children
ages 3-11. A special tweens program is offered for kids 12-14
and a teenagers club is offered for guests 15-17.
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN 3-11ON RCCL
Adventure Science
Conducted by our specially trained Adventure Scientists, this
program combines fun and hands-on science experiments.
Featured programs include: Wacky Water Workshop, Magnetic
Mayhem, H2O Thunder Races, Gummy Candies and Bubbling
Potions.
Adventure Art by Crayola®
These activities acquaint kids with diverse cultures through art.
Children are introduced to mask making, fish kites and pottery.
Sail Into Storytime
These theme-related storytime sessions bring each story to life
with activities, discussions on each story and hands-on activities
for the children to participate in following each reading.
Other Games and Theme Activities
Nutty Nicknames, Camp Aquanauts, Ice-Cream Party, Super
Hero Afternoon, Face Painting, Pirate Night, Talent Show, Under
The Sea Night and Pajama Rama Movie Night.
Out Island Activities on CocoCaySM and Labadee®
Aquanauts can enjoy Adventure Beach activities on itineraries that
call on CocoCay and Labadee. Kids can join the Adventure
Ocean staff and participate in Sand Castle Building, Drip Drip
Drop, Adventure Family Water Balloon Toss, Beach Relays,
Parachute Games and a search for Labadectal and Cocodactal
eggs.
CREDITS AND PRIZES
Every time children or teens participate in Adventure Ocean
activities they earn Adventure Ocean credits. At the end of the
cruise vacation kids can trade their credits in for cool Adventure
Ocean prizes like T-shirts, visors, cd holders and even stuffed
animals!
AGE GROUPS FOR ROYAL CARIBBEAN'S ADVENTURE OCEAN
Aquanauts Ages 3-5 Years
To participate, children must be fully potty-trained and 3 years of
age as of the first day of the cruise which means no pull-ups or
diapers.
Explorers Ages 6-8 Years
Voyagers Ages 9-11 Years
Navigators Ages 12-14 Years
HOURS
At Sea: 9 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In Port: Thirty minutes prior to the first shore excursion to 5 p.m. or
return of last shore excursion, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Navigators Ages 12-14 Years (TWEENS)
The Navigators program is specially designed just for tweens. It's
not some structured program of classes. You can come join
activities and games when you want to, or just chill in the Living
Room with your friends. Activities are scheduled throughout the
day and early evening. The Teen Center is open from 10:30 p.m.-
2:00 a.m. each evening. Navigators are welcome to come and
hang out and join in activities, make new friends, and dance or
just listen to music.

We know you're almost an adult, and it's your vacation too. So we
give you the freedom you deserve. You can join events all day, or
come and go as you want. And we have two great places where
you can get away from it all. The Living Room is a laid-back place
you can just hang with your new friends. And Fuel is the place
where the party is. Open 'til 2 a.m., you can dance, listen to music,
or just hang out t
