GRINDELWALD
The Jungfrau region means internationally renowned holiday
locations such as Interlaken, Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren,
as well as the equally charming villages of Bönigen,
Ringgenberg-Goldswil, Iseltwald, Wilderswil and Lauterbrunnen.

The Jungfrau region means snow-covered mountain tops, lush
green Alpine pastures, raging waterfalls, and more: colourful
hang-gliders in the deep blue sky, white steamboats on
turquoise waters, pulsating activity in the shopping streets.

The Jungfrau region means countless opportunities for day trips
on water or dry land, for walking, cycling, swimming, windsurfing,
sailing, for experiencing unforgettable adventures such as
tandem paragliding, for window shopping and culinary enjoyment.

The Jungfrau region means all of the above, but especially:
superlative mountain cableway and railway rides. You can take
the Jungfrau railway from Interlaken, for example, ending up at
the highest railway station in Europe, the Jungfraujoch, 3454 m
above sea level. The longest cable railway in the Alps follows the
trail of James Bond to the Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn.

Grindelwald - Jungfrau Region in winter
The ski resorts of the Jungfrau region lie directly below the
world-famous backdrop of the Eiger, the Mönch and the Jungfrau.
The alpine landscape is as varied as the choice of pistes and
runs.

More than 45 mountain and cable railways and chair and ski lifts
transport sports enthusiasts to over 200 km of pistes. Sledgers,
winter hikers and cross-country skiers will all find ideal
conditions. Après-ski attractions range from glacier bars, dance
clubs and discos to sliding fun and romantic fondue evenings. As
for accommodation, Grindelwald, Interlaken, Mürren, Wengen
and Wilderswil offer an extensive choice to suit all tastes, from
simple inns to luxury hotels.
