NEW DESTIN RESTAURANTS FOR 2007

Redfish Village will also be home to a second location of
Beach Walk. The Destin location was awarded the
prestigious DiRoNa Award (Distinguished Restaurants of
North America), Wine Spectator Award, AAA 3-Star
Restaurant, Best Chef & Brunch by Emerald Coast Magazine
and Florida Trend’s Golden Spoon – Top 25 Restaurants in
Florida. Executive chef and owner, Tim Creehan, uses local
seasonal ingredients to create his tantalizing menu offering
guests innovative flavor combinations, and unique twists on
classical dishes.  

Also adding to the fine dining mix, Chops 30-A brings the
timeless tradition of fine steak house dining to Beaches of
South Walton. Chops 30-A menu includes Gulf Coast
seafood, Maine lobster and classic desserts that add the
crowning touch. Guests may savor fine brandies or ports to
bring the evening to a close.

Recently re-opened, D&K's Bistro in the heart of Grayton
Beach features “casual fine dining” concept and a New
Orleans feel with cast iron furniture and large windows that
offer views of the beach. In addition to the main dining room,
there are two smaller private dining areas, including a
handicap-accessible dining room on the first floor, making
every table a VIP table.

Graffiti's & The Funky Blues Shack, a restaurant and live
blues club venue, is now open in The Village of Baytowne
Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.  Dinner is
served nightly along with a limited late night menu to
accompany the evening entertainment. Colorful folk art by
local and regional artists creates an eclectic atmosphere.

Cerulean’s is an eclectic, artful, creative gathering space in
Watercolor. The restaurant offers a mixture of neighborhood
coffee shop, logo store, newsstand, wine bar, book store
and performance and art exhibit space. Located next to the
WaterColor Market in the heart of Town Center, Cerulean’s
has quickly become a favorite hangout among visitors and
locals alike. Cerulean’s features Thursday night wine
tastings and their weekend musical events have become
favorites among local and visiting musicians.

Chef Jim Shirley brings his brand of Southern cooking to
Seaside at the Great Southern Café. The menu features
regional flair including Gulf shrimp, Apalachicola oysters and
traditional Southern vegetables. It seems like no one talks
about the Great Southern Cafe without mentioning the Grits
a Ya Ya, one of the most-ordered dishes which offers a bed
of smoked Gouda cheese grits topped with cream gravy
laced with bacon, spinach and mushrooms. Nicely seasoned
shrimp surround the grits and sweet potato hay tops it all off.

Finz restaurant, Sandestin’s signature gulf front restaurant,
contemporary cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere, has
reopened for the season with a new menu, new staff and a
new chef, Robert Theriot. Plans include an expanded pool
deck area to further the fun this spring. Finz also hosts
catered weddings and special events.
