COLORADO MOUNTAIN ACTIVITIES
Not only is Denver a gateway to the entire western region of the United

the entire Rocky Mountain Region.  While you are in Denver, allow
time to take a day trip south on I-25 to Pike’s Peak in Colorado
Springs.  As you reach the summit of Pikes Peak and look out across
the majestic Rocky Mountains as Katharine Lee Bates once did, you
might understand why she was so inspired to pen the lines to her most
famous poem, "America the Beautiful."

Take a day to drive north of the city on Hwy. 36 and tour the Rocky
Mountain National Park with its 14,000-ft. peaks, glacier carved
canyons, crystal clear lakes and exciting wildlife. Before you leave
Denver, be sure to travel I-70 west to visit the areas famous ski resorts
of Vail, Aspen, Snowmass, Breckinridge, Beaver Creek, Copper
Mountain and Silverthorne. Each time you round another curve in the
highway, it seems the landscape changes.  You can pack a lot into a
few days, but even if you make many trips to this city, you will always
find something new and exciting  - a good reason to return.
