Sand Castles and Snorkeling: Cancun's Beache

Many people travel to Cancun to visit their beautiful sunny beaches.
Here, the ocean water is 80 degrees year-round, so there is always a
chance to jump in the water. The beaches of Cancun provide visitors
with weeks of activities, so a trip to this sandy paradise should be able
to please anyone who loves the sun and water.
Once you pay to get onto the beach, you can move along the entire
coastline in either direction for as long as you want. All the resorts in
the hotel zone have beachfront property, so no matter where you stay
you can get a room with a view of the ocean. On the beach, there are a
variety of things to do for the whole family. You can enjoy the beach in
a traditional way by bathing in the sun and playing in the waves, but
there are many water activities other than swimming that are very
popular to do as well.
The beaches in the north are very clean with calm waters most of the
time. Here is the ideal place for families with small children who want
to enjoy the waves. There are also many docks located at the northern
Cancun beaches, and boats leave from these docks to visit Isle
Mujeres and to go on fishing, sailing, and diving expeditions.
Along the eastern side, the beaches have larger waves and there is
more wind. They are comparable to the beaches in Florida. There is
also a lagoon side to the eastern beaches. The lagoon is a great
place for water sports such as jet skiing, but there are very few sandy
beaches. The ocean side, however, is full of sand and the waves are
stronger, so swimming is better for adults and the waves are higher
for older children.
Most of these beaches are comprised of powdery white sand, which is
easy to walk in and beautiful to look at. Because of all the sand,
snorkeling off the beaches is not preferred-there are other Cancun
destinations where the snorkeling is much better. Instead, try beach
volleyball, parasailing, water bikes, or one of the other fun beach
activities available in Cancun. The beaches here have something for
everyone, so this is a great relaxing daytime activity. Research the
many beaches available so that you can choose the location that is
best for you and those with whom you are traveling.
