Costa Maya Thrills Guests with Mayan-Flavored Zip-Line
Adventure and Some of The World’s Tallest Jumps!
Mexico’s Costa Maya welcomes cruise passengers back to its
shores with a first-of-its-kind zip-line adventure. BioMaya
Bacalar treats guests to some of the tallest jumping platforms
available with towers ranging from 656 feet to 2,559 feet!
Offered as a three-part excursion, this is also the world’s first
zip-line tour that allows for tandem side-by-side gliding.
Inspired by the local jungles and rich ancient culture of the
Yucatan Peninsula, BioMaya Bacalar greets guests with a
symbolic soul-cleansing ritual performed by local Mayans to
send guests off on their zip-lining adventure. After soaring
through the Mayan jungle alongside red-winged Macaws, the
last platform leaves guests at the edge of the striking Bacalar
Lagoon, also known by locals as the birthplace of the rainbow.
Guests cool off as they float across the calm waters, where the
colors vary from light green to turquoise and electric blue. On
the other side of the Bacalar Lagoon, native fruit juices and
other Mexican delicacies await guests before they embark on a
picturesque trek through the lush local jungle.
Strategically located just hours from Cancun on Mexico’s
southern Yucatan Peninsula, Costa Maya was the Western
Caribbean’s first port designed exclusively for the cruise
