Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
By Valinda Almeida

The lulling beauty of the caressing Caribbean Sea provides a
spectacular backdrop for the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino,
which offers the most spacious guest rooms on the island. All 413
rooms have 100-square-foot balconies, walk-in closets with luxury
robes, mini-fridges and high-speed Internet access. But, more
importantly, the resort's beachfront location provides a perfect
opportunity to escape the worries of the world by scuba diving,
snorkeling, windsurfing or swimming in the perfectly pristine sea that
reflects radiant blue-green jewel tones from a distance.

Designated among the "World's Best Places to Stay" by Condé Nast
Traveler's "2006 Gold List," and rated 4 Diamonds by AAA, this tropical
Eden caters to newlyweds, families and tourists seeking a
high-quality vacation experience. Known for its weddings, Aruba
Marriott presents several packages, including the Ginger Lily
Wedding, the Kunuku Traditional Wedding and the Aruban Treasured
Wedding. The sweet scent of ginger lilies follows couples to the white
sand beach, where vows are exchanged in the first instance; couples
are married in a Kunuku gazeba with the sounds of a Caribbean steel
drum rhythm after the ceremony in the second package; and
strandjutters carrying tiki torches that lead the couple to the water's
edge where they seek their treasure - the beginning of their life
together - highlights the third wedding option.  For families, the Bon
Bini Kids Club offers year-round supervised actives for kids aged five
through 12.  The resort has pizza parties for youngsters, as well as an
opportunity to learn Aruba's native language, Papiamento.

Guests who desire extra pampering will find it at the
16,500-square-foot Mandara Spa, located at the Marriott Ocean Club,
a new time-share property adjacent to the Aruba Marriott. With four VIP
treatment rooms for couples, eight individual treatment rooms, steam
rooms, a nail salon and a hair salon, your every beauty need is sure to
be met. I indulged in the Balinese boreh scrub and aloe cucumber
wrap, an unusual pleasure.

Dining options are plentiful. Ristorante Tuscany features elegant
Northern Italian cuisine for dinner, Simply Fish serves seafood for
dinner overlooking the beach, Ketsu Sushi Bar offers Japanese
delicacies for dinner in the lobby lounge, Waves Beach Bar & Grill
provides American taste delights for lunch and La Vista is open for
international breakfast, lunch and dinner.  A swim-up bar is built into
the resort's lagoon-style pool, with a rock grotto waterfall.
If you have an inkling that Lady Luck is on your side, check out the
resort's casino. With more than 15,300 square feet, it is Aruba's
largest. The Stellaris Casino features 32 gaming tables and 500 slot
machines.

The island is Dutch, but English is spoken everywhere. U.S. currency
is accepted almost universally.

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino is located at L.G. Smith
Boulevard 101 in Palm Beach.
